Synopsis
Access to social media, digital marketplaces, fintech and AI are accelerating women-led entrepreneurial ventures in Africa, consequently expanding socioeconomic inclusion and financial safety net for women and young entrepreneurs. The rise of digital marketplaces has enabled women entrepreneurs to showcase their products and services, expanding their reach beyond their immediate communities. AI-powered solutions are providing women entrepreneurs with access to valuable insights and data, enabling them to make informed decisions for their businesses. However, more needs to be done in in enhancing digital access, through digital literacy programs, providing affordable digital technologies and reliable internet access.
The speakers of this webinar provide insights into how digitalisation has extensively contributed to women entrepreneurs from middle and low income social strata. Speakers will also present findings from empirical research as well ad personal business experiences.
